The new study reveals four new colonies that have existed for a long time but have been hidden from scientists’ eyes until now. These small communities have fewer than 1,000 pairs. They may have separated from larger colonies at some point. As warming continues, experts believe penguins will migrate more frequently in search of more comfortable habitats.
