The unusual UILA electric city car is preparing for mass production

The UILA is the original electric bike-electric car hybrid that was developed by engineers and designers at Berlin-based nFrontier.

In the process of its serial production, it is expected to use additive SAF and P3 technologies, which will significantly reduce production costs. It will be a four-wheeled electric vehicle based on a tubular aluminum frame with a body made of polymer parts printed on a Stratasys F770 3D printer.

UILA’s dimensions are 2.3 x 0.9 x 1.7 m and its weight is only 70 kg, which, combined with good maneuverability, allows it to park in very small areas. The electric car is a two-seater, the driver and passenger are tandem. No driver’s license is required to drive it, and it can even travel on bicycle paths. The maximum speed of the electric car is 25 km/h.
